What is a binaural beat?
Two slightly different tones — one per ear. Your brain detects the difference and produces a third tone that doesn't physically exist. An auditory illusion with measurable neurological effects, first documented by physicist Heinrich Wilhelm Dove in 1839.
Why 10 Hz?
10Hz sits inside the Alpha band (8–13Hz) — the brain's natural state of relaxed alertness. Alpha is associated with reduced anxiety, creative clarity, and the quiet between stimulus and reaction. Present, not reactive.
What happens in the brain?
The brain synchronizes to the frequency it perceives — a process called neural entrainment. As you listen, your dominant brainwave frequency shifts toward 10Hz. Cortical noise decreases. Attention sharpens without effort.
Can it help with anxiety?
Alpha-band entrainment is associated with reduced anxiety and a calmer nervous system — the quiet between stimulus and reaction. ECHO.11 was born from exactly that need: a free tool for acute anxious moments, insomnia, and racing thoughts, available 24/7. It is a self-care practice, not a medical treatment — if anxiety is disrupting your life, please also talk to a professional.
What should you feel?
Individual response varies. Most commonly reported:
Mental clarity
Reduced mind-chatter
Gentle warmth
Heightened focus
Present-moment awareness
Research Inspiration · Declassified 1983, Released 2003
In 1983, the US Army commissioned a classified analysis of The Monroe Institute's research into binaural frequencies and altered consciousness. The document — Analysis and Assessment of Gateway Process — was declassified and released by the CIA in 2003.
It concludes that binaural beat technology can alter consciousness in measurable, reproducible ways — reducing cortical noise, shifting brainwave activity, and creating conditions for expanded awareness. The science behind ECHO.11 is not speculative. It is documented, peer-reviewed, and declassified.
This experience is inspired by that research. Not affiliated with or endorsed by any government body.
